Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of China, along with his wife Peng Liyuan, attended an artistic performance in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on Monday evening.

The performance took place at the Pyongyang Gymnasium on June 8, 2026. Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan were accompanied by Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, and his wife, Ri Sol Ju.

Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed and applauded by the audience and performers present at the Pyongyang Gymnasium.

Through songs, dances, and acrobatic performances, the artists celebrated Xi Jinping's return to the DPRK after seven years. They also expressed their sincere wishes to further strengthen the traditional friendly cooperation between the two countries.
