Xi Jinping, who is also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks on Wednesday during an inspection tour of Dezhou City in eastern China's Shandong Province.

According to Xi Jinping, it is necessary to strengthen the overall production capacity, quality, and efficiency of agriculture, ensure stable supplies of important agricultural products such as grain, build a beautiful and harmonious countryside suitable for living and working according to local conditions, and guide farmers to create a better life through hard work and wisdom.

In the village of Dongyujia, Xi Jinping learned about the local wheat harvest, corn planting, and agricultural supply services. He also walked into the fields and had cordial conversations with grain farmers, agricultural machinery operators, and agricultural experts.

Xi Jinping emphasized that ensuring stable supplies of grain and other agricultural products is a top priority for agricultural production. He stressed the need to conscientiously implement all supporting measures for grain production to ensure a good harvest throughout the year.

He also called for improving agricultural infrastructure and strengthening the ability to prevent and mitigate disasters and provide agricultural services.

Later, Xi Jinping visited the nearby village of Xiyujia, where he learned about the improvement of local party organizations and the provision of public services. He also viewed a display of local agricultural and sideline products.

Xi Jinping expressed hope that village party organizations will continue to play a leading role in building the party and achieve new results in building a beautiful and harmonious countryside suitable for living and working.

In the home of villager Yu Xinhui, Xi Jinping sat with the family and asked about their daily lives, including employment, income, the health of elderly family members, and the education of children.

Xi Jinping said that party members and officials must do more for the people, bring tangible results to their well-being, and address their difficulties, thereby strengthening their sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security.
