LONDON – By accepting the resignation of his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to, according to The Guardian quickly close the highly publicised corruption scandal in Ukraine.

On Friday, reports emerged of searches at Yermak's flat and office. Yermak himself later confirmed the information, stating that he was cooperating with investigators. Volodymyr Zelensky later announced that Yermak had submitted his resignation.
