On February 12th, local time, a special event was held in Hamburg, serving as a prelude to the China Media Group (CMG) Spring Festival Gala. This gala is watched by people around the world, and this event in Germany was a significant precursor to it.

The event was co-organized by CMG and the Germany-China Friendship Association in Hamburg. Shen Haixiong, Deputy Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of CMG, delivered a video message along with the Mayor of Hamburg. Among the more than 120 guests were representatives from political, business, and cultural circles of both China and Germany, as well as consuls general from various countries based in Hamburg.

Shen Haixiong emphasized that the CMG Spring Festival Gala has been held for 43 years and is one of the largest annual cultural events in the world in terms of viewership. It has become a "spiritual New Year's Eve celebration" that resonates with Chinese people around the world. Last year, CMG collaborated with more than 3,100 media organizations through its multilingual international communication network to bring the spirit of the Chinese Lunar New Year to a global audience.

This year's CMG Spring Festival Gala will utilize technological innovations such as "5G+4K/8K+AI" and will be broadcast in 85 languages, offering a rich cultural experience to audiences both at home and abroad. They look forward to the global audience sharing the joy, friendship, and festive atmosphere, welcoming a more inclusive, warm, and optimistic spring.
