From foreign tourists heading to Chinese cities, fueled by the "China Travel" trend on social media, to the growing demand for Chinese cooling products abroad — China's summer consumption is once again attracting global attention.

According to a CGTN survey among global internet users, 86.1 percent of respondents believe that China's summer economy is not just a seasonal boost for domestic consumption. They also see it as demonstrating how the vast Chinese market creates new opportunities for the world economy.

Since the beginning of this year, China has continued to expand its visa-free policy, further improve regulations for visa-free transit, and modernize services for foreign travelers, such as tax refunds. The goal is to offer visitors from abroad a more convenient travel and shopping experience.

This change is reflected in the survey results. This summer, 74.1 percent of respondents would like to travel to China. One participant in the CGTN survey stated that China not only shares the benefits of its own development but also makes it easier for people to visit the country so they can see the results firsthand and gain experiences that may be useful for other countries. According to him, the new visa policies undoubtedly attract more travelers who choose China as their preferred destination.

As China continues to expand its high-level opening up, "last-minute trips to China" are becoming a more realistic option for foreign tourists. This trend supports consumption in accommodation, catering, transportation, and retail. At the same time, it allows the world to experience the real, diverse, and open China through direct personal interaction.

According to the survey, 89.5 percent of respondents believe that China shares the benefits of its development with the world through its openness. A total of 95.8 percent of those surveyed said that China is rapidly transforming from a mere "world factory" into a "global market," which supports global consumption.

Cooling products are also playing a significant role this year. Air conditioners, fans, ice makers, and sun protection products remain in high demand in foreign markets. Orders for many products have increased sharply, and the high demand has sometimes led to shortages of goods.

According to CGTN, this success is due to flexible and efficient supply chains, increasing product quality, and the ability of Chinese manufacturing to quickly respond to consumer needs around the world. According to the survey, Chinese companies are transforming innovation into new competitive advantages in the global market.

80.1 percent of respondents agree with this assessment, stating that Chinese companies can sensitively perceive global climate trends and consumer needs thanks to a complete industrial system and flexible supply chains, and quickly adapt their offerings accordingly.

Another 91.2 percent of those surveyed said that the diverse applications and vast consumer market in China help bring new technologies and products into practice, while simultaneously supporting the growth of the global industry. According to 88.2 percent of respondents, China's summer economy not only stimulates domestic consumption but also brings greater certainty and a new dynamic to global supply chains and the world economy.

The survey was published on the English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms of CGTN. During 24 hours, 4524 internet users participated in it, answering questions and sharing their opinions.
