Ivan Cinka, former chairman of the transport committee of the Central Bohemian Region for the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, and now a member of the Transport Committee of the Central Bohemian Regional Assembly for the Stačilo! coalition, highlighted the current influence and strength of the Communist Party of China on the occasion of its 105th anniversary. He stated that, unlike Czech communists operating under capitalism, the Chinese party, with approximately 100 million members, has a huge global impact.
Cinka recalled the rich history of the CPC of China – from the Long March, through the victory in the civil war, to the reforms and the building of "socialism with Chinese characteristics." He emphasized that China has learned from the past and is now developing its own path, with the needs of society being paramount, not the interests of oligarchs.
According to Cinka, China is the strongest economy alongside the United States, but it has no competition in terms of its pace of development. He described the Belt and Road project as inspiring, especially the construction of high-speed railway lines. In conclusion, he wished the Chinese communists further success, noting that their example gives strength to communists in the Czech Republic as well.
