China is significantly strengthening its technological presence at the upcoming Winter Olympic Games. CMG (China Media Group) is sending a fleet of four state-of-the-art 4K/8K ultra-high-definition broadcasting trucks to Italy, which will be crucial for global television coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics.

The specialized broadcasting equipment, nicknamed "China Red," was loaded in the port of Taicang in Jiangsu province and is being transported on the modern LNG and photovoltaic dual-fuel car carrier **Yuan Hai Kou**. This ship is one of the largest of its kind, measuring nearly 200 meters in length, weighing over 68,000 tons, and featuring twelve decks for vehicles.

The ship will travel via the Mediterranean route and is expected to arrive in Italy in approximately 25 days. The broadcasting trucks are scheduled to be ready at the San Siro stadium in Milan by January 13, 2026, where they will provide technical support for the opening ceremony. During the Olympics, which will take place from February 6 to 22, 2026, they will produce international 8K video signals for the entire world.

The deployment of these trucks confirms CMG's ambition to become a technological leader in the field of sports broadcasting, and also highlights the growing role of Chinese media in the world's largest sporting events.
