At the Summer Davos 2025 in Tianjin, China, Premier Li Qiang shocked the world with an ambitious plan: China aims to become a superpower of consumption! After years of dominance in industry, it now plans to become the largest market in the world – and the world is welcome to benefit from it.

“The doors remain open! All companies are welcome to take root in China,” Li declared. The country wants to share its technologies, deepen its connections with the global market, and promote innovations that will "breathe new life" into the tired global economy.

Despite external shocks, the Chinese economy achieved a growth rate of 5.4% in the first quarter of 2025. "This is not a one-day miracle, but a stable growth towards long-term goals," the Prime Minister assured.

Li also called for international cooperation and resolving disputes through "equal dialogue." In a time of a fragmented global market and declining traditional trade, China sees an opportunity in new forms of trade and the rise of the Global South.

Summer Davos 2025 welcomed over 1,700 entrepreneurs and leaders from more than 90 countries to jointly explore ways to build a more resilient and dynamic global economy. The theme of this year's event? "Entrepreneurship for a New Era."
