Tropics and China? Many readers might think this is absurd. But let's not be mistaken. Sanya, located on the island of Hainan, which belongs to the People's Republic of China, is the only tropical enclave and coastal tourist city in China. Representatives from the Hainan delegation presented its beauty and comfortable recreational offerings to Czech journalists and selected travel agencies at a presentation meeting in Prague in early March. The general public learned about the opportunity to vacation in this new, previously unknown destination for Czechs at the 34th International Travel Fair HOLYDAY WORD in Prague's Letňany a few days later.

Sanya Presents Tourism Programs for Europe

As we mentioned, the Chinese tropical resort of Sanya on the island of Hainan held a presentation meeting for representatives of the tourism sector and the media in Prague on March 5th. It presented new tourism packages and incentive programs for partners, linked to air connections between Sanya and Prague. The goal is to strengthen tourism between Europe and southern China and to connect direct air links with specific tourism products. A key partner for the Czech market is the travel agency Join UP!, which has long offered the island of Hainan to European clients and provides flights to Sanya along with complete vacation packages.
During their visit to Prague, the Hainan delegation also visited the Prague headquarters of Join UP!, where discussions took place about opportunities to further expand cooperation and support the sales of this unique destination in East Asia in the Czech market.

An Extraordinary Exotic Vacation

Join UP! is also preparing an informational trip for selected travel agency representatives in March, giving them the opportunity to experience the tourism infrastructure, the wild nature, and the white beaches of the island of Hainan, as well as its cultural heritage and its hyper-modern present. Through this personal experience, they will be able to present a complete picture of an exotic vacation in one of the most interesting destinations in Asia to their clients. The new strategy also includes an "Invite-in" initiative aimed at countries in Central and Eastern Europe. At the end of May, a study trip will be organized for selected travel agencies, journalists, and influencers from the region.
Participants will learn about the wide range of local tourism offerings, from hotels and tourist attractions to health and wellness services and duty-free shopping.

“Thanks to the duty-free port policy and the introduction of what is known as the seventh freedom of the air, Sanya is building a market development strategy based on connecting air routes and tourism products. Our goal is for visitors from all over the world to be able to easily travel to Sanya, stay comfortably, fully enjoy the local offerings, and want to return,” said a representative of the Sanya City Tourism Council at a meeting with Czech media and travel agencies in Prague.
