China Media Group chairman Shen Haixiong met in Lausanne with new International Olympic Committee chief Kirsty Coventry and its honorary president Thomas Bach to cement a strategic partnership that is set to transform the future of sports journalism.
An important meeting at the highest level took place at the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne. CMG President Shen Haixiong congratulated Thomas Bach on his appointment as IOC Honorary President and Kirsty Coventry on taking over as President. Both sides agreed to further deepen their strategic cooperation - particularly in the area of innovative broadcasting of sporting events.
Shen recalled that CMG has become the broadcast rights holder for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, and as the only medium in the world bude zajišťovat produkci 8K signálu. "The IOC has always considered CMG a key partner. Our collaboration will further strengthen Olympic values through digital technology, innovation and sustainable development," said Coventry, who granted CMG her first exclusive interview as IOC President shortly after the meeting.
