What China got right and what the US forgot

Nobel laureate economist Thomas Sargent attributes China's remarkable rise to its systematic orientation towards openness, science, entrepreneurship and stable institutional rules.

From an American perspective, he points out that the United States is now moving away from the principles that once made it successful. In his view, the US has much to learn from what China got right.
