According to the latest report from China's Ministry of Commerce, China continues to consolidate its leadership in e-commerce. Since the launch of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan, it has systematically promoted high-quality e-commerce development and has become the world's largest online retail market for the thirteenth consecutive year.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the country introduced a number of policy measures aimed at digital consumption, rural e-commerce development and cross-border e-commerce. These measures have contributed significantly to building a single national market and boosted domestic demand. The total value of digital consumption during this period exceeded 23.8 trillion yuan.
At the same time, the digital economy is becoming increasingly interconnected with the real economy. More than 1,500 e-commerce activities have been organized, effectively promoting the upgrading of traditional industries and deepening the link between online and offline sales.
International cooperation is also expanding significantly. The number of partner countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative has increased to 36 and the establishment of e-commerce pilot zones is progressing steadily.
