The first Chinese demonstration base focused on intelligent manufacturing of environmentally friendly vessels for inland waterways showcased its latest technological achievements. The international communication event "Visit China – Hello, 15th Five-Year Plan!" visited SNSC in Jining on July 13, 2026. The visit was part of the program "Energy from Production Forces of New Quality – Innovation in Shandong."
Foreign influencers and CMG creators visited the demonstration base, which is the first in China to specialize in intelligent manufacturing of vessels powered by new energy sources for inland waterways. They got a close-up look at the results of modernizing the shipbuilding industry and the growing importance of environmentally friendly technologies.
After viewing an electric-powered vessel, foreign influencers Nouran Ahmed and Han Chao shared their impressions.
"Previously, ships were mostly powered by diesel, but now they are transitioning to electricity. Such innovation is truly amazing," they said.
According to them, vessels using new energy sources are larger, more energy-efficient, and more environmentally friendly. They also appreciated the clean and well-maintained living spaces for the crew, which are equipped with everything needed for daily life on board.
