On a month-on-month basis, agricultural producer prices rose by 1.2 % and were 8.1 % higher year-on-year. Industrial producer prices were up 0.6 % m-o-m and 2.8 % y-o-y. Prices of construction work rose by 0.1 % m-o-m and were 2.6 % higher y-o-y. Prices of market services for businesses increased by 0.1 % m-o-m and were 3.8 % higher y-o-y. On average for the full year 2024 compared to 2023, agricultural producer prices were down 5.9 %, industrial producer prices were up 0.8 %, construction prices were up 2.1 % and business market services prices were up 3.8 %
"Both agricultural and industrial prices continued to accelerate year-on-year. Agricultural prices increased by 8.1 % and industrial prices by 2.8 %. Prices of construction work were up 2.6 % year-on-year and prices of market services for businesses were up 3.8 %," notes Vladimír Klimeš, Head of the Department of Industrial Prices and Foreign Trade Statistics of the CZSO.
Prices agricultural producers with Monthly increased by 1.2 %. Prices of eggs increased by 17.3 %, milk by 6.1 %, vegetables by 5.2 %, oilseeds by 3.0 %, fruit by 2.2 %, poultry by 1.2 % and cereals by 0.4 %. Potato prices fell by 6.7 %, pigs by 1.9 % and cattle by 0.4 %. Year-on-year were the prices agricultural producers higher by 8.1 % (5.5 % in November). In crop production, prices rose by 4.3 %. Fruit prices were 29.3 % higher, oilseeds 20.8 % higher and cereals 2.7 % higher, while potato prices fell by 14.8 % and vegetable prices by 1.8 %. In livestock production, prices were higher by 13.7 %. Egg prices increased by 27.3 %, milk by 20.8 %, cattle by 15.7 % and poultry by 1.7 %. Pig prices decreased by 6.0 %. Prices agricultural producers were on average for the whole year 2024 compared to 2023 lower by 5.9 % (6.0 % in 2023). Prices of vegetable products fell by 9.1 %, prices of animal products by 1.5 %. Cereals prices were lower by 18.6 %, potatoes by 5.8 %, oilseeds by 4.1 % and vegetables by 1.9 %, while fruit prices were higher by 28.7 %. In the livestock products category, prices of eggs were lower by 13.2 %, poultry by 6.3 % and pigs by 3.6 %, while prices of cattle were higher by 6.6 % and milk by 0.2 %.
Interim prices industrial manufacturers increased by 0.6 %. Electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioned air prices increased by 3.4 %. Prices of food products increased by 0.3 %, in particular dairy products by 1.9 % and vegetable and animal oils and fats by 2.5 %, while prices of other food products decreased by 0.5 %. Prices of basic metals decreased by 1.1 %, motor vehicles (except motorcycles), trailers and semi-trailers by 0.3 % and chemicals and chemical preparations by 0.7 %. Prices industrial manufacturers with year-on-year Prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning rose by 9.3 %, motor vehicles (excluding motorcycles), trailers and semi-trailers by 3.0 % and repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment by 4.6 %. Prices of food products increased by 1.4 %, especially dairy products by 10.6 % and processed and preserved meat and meat products by 1.6 %, while prices of other food products recorded a decrease of 3.5 %. Prices of coke and refined petroleum products declined. Prices of fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, were down by 1.7 % and those of hard coal, lignite and lignite by 4.6 %. When assessed by the main industry groups have increased year-on-year energy prices by 6.1 %, investment goods by 3.0 % and non-durable goods by 1.8 %. Prices of oil and gas fell by 19.5 %, wood and wood and cork products, excluding furniture by 6.8 % and basic metals by 5.6 %.
Prices construction works is estimated Monthly increased by 0.1 %,prices of materials and products consumed in the construction industry decreased by 0.3 %. Prices construction works with year-on-year Prices of materials and products consumed in the construction industry were estimated to have increased by 2.6 % yoy (2.5 % in November). Prices of materials and products consumed in the construction industry were 0.7 % higher yoy (0.9 % in November).
Prices construction works were estimated on average for the whole year 2024 compared to 2023 higher by 2.1 % (5.9 % in 2023 after refinement). Prices of materials and products consumed in the construction sector fell by 0.5 % on average over the whole year 2024 (3.8 % higher in 2023).
Prices market services for businesses with Monthly increased by 0.1 %. Prices for programming and consultancy services increased by 0.5 %, prices for insurance, reinsurance and pension funding, excluding compulsory social security, and prices for land transport services were uniformly higher by 0.4 %. Prices for employment services fell by 1.2 % and for film, video and television programme production services by 6.1 1 %. Prices for market services for businesses excluding advertising services increased by 0.1 %. Prices market services for businesses were year-on-year Prices for employment services rose by 12.9 %, advertising and market research services by 11.3 % and real estate services by 7.8 %. Prices for warehousing and transport support services were lower, by 0.4 %. Prices for market services for businesses excluding advertising services were higher by 3.2 % (up from 3.1 1 % in November).
Prices market services for businesses with on average for the whole year 2024 compared to 2023 Prices for employment services were higher by 10.3 %, advertising and market research services by 10.0 %, security and search services by 9.0 %, real estate services by 7.7 % and postal and courier services by 5.4 % in 2023. Prices for legal and accounting services increased by 5,1 %, for programming and consultancy services by 3,7 % and for information services by 2,0 %. Prices for business market services excluding advertising services were higher by 3.3 % (5.7 % in 2023).
EU Industrial Producer Prices - November 2024 (preliminary data)
In European Union (EU) countries, according to data published by Eurostat, prices industrial manufacturers in November Monthly prices increased by 1.7 % (up 0.4 % in October), with the largest increases in Bulgaria, Ireland and Sweden of 4.9 %, 4.5 % and 4.2 % respectively. Prices were 0.7 % higher in Austria, 0.6 % higher in Germany, 0.4 % higher in the Czech Republic and 0.2 % higher in Poland. The largest price decreases were in Estonia and Cyprus by 1.4 %, in Slovakia by 0.5 % and in Luxembourg by 0.4 %. In November in the EU year-on-year Prices fell by 1.1 % (3.1 % in October), with the largest price decreases in Slovakia, Luxembourg and France, by 18.4 %, 6.6 % and 5.2 % respectively. Prices were lower in Austria by 4,5 % and in Poland by 4,3 %. Prices remained unchanged in Germany and were 1.7 % higher in the Czech Republic. Prices increased most in Ireland by 5.4 %, in Denmark and Hungary by 3.2 % and in Portugal by 2.0 %.
