On the night of Saturday to Sunday, 26-27 October, daylight saving time ends and the hands of the clock will move back one hour at 3:00 pm. Ten České dráhy long-distance trains with accommodation carriages will be on the road at that time, operated by ČD in cooperation with foreign partner carriers. They will wait for departure in the middle of the night according to Central European Time (CET). If these trains had not remained stationary, they would have left an hour earlier after the time change on the rest of the route. Regional trains will not be affected by the one-hour wait, as none are running at the time of the changeover. Morning trains will then depart according to CET.
The following connections, both in the Czech Republic and in neighbouring countries, will be waiting for departure according to the new Central European (so-called "winter") time in the middle of the night from 26 to 27 October 2024:

At the same time, České dráhy will ensure the mutual transfer of all groups of direct carriages between all night trains at Ostrava hl.n., Břeclav and Pardubice hl.n. stations and, as usual, will ensure all planned direct connections (i.e. Prague - Ostrava - Krakow - Warsaw, Munich / Budapest - Breclav - Ostrava - Krakow - Warsaw, Graz / Budapest - Breclav - Prague - Berlin, Prague - Breclav - Budapest and Prague - Linz - Zurich, or vice versa).
Midnight Train IC 579 Brno Dragon with departure from Prague Main Station (departure 00:03) will run according to daylight saving time and will therefore arrive at Brno Main Station at 2:43 a.m. summer time.
Regional trains will not be affected by the time change, because at the time of the shift back by one hour Czech Railways does not operate any such connections. All regional trains will run in the morning according to CET.
