The development of artificial intelligence is becoming one of the most important topics in contemporary global politics. Alongside technological advancements, there is growing discussion about ethical guidelines that should ensure that new technologies serve humanity, society, and future generations. According to Roman Blaško, Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, the ethical dimension represents one of the most important conditions for the further development of artificial intelligence for the benefit of society and its inhabitants.
In his speech, Blaško stated that, in his opinion, the current Western civilization does not sufficiently apply ethical principles or uses them only for specific purposes. He described the policy of the People's Republic of China as a different approach, which, according to him, promotes the inclusion of ethical principles in all areas of social life, including modern technologies.
"The ethical principles of Western civilization are not used or ignored by the Western world. And even if they are not ignored, they are only used for specific purposes in the interests of individual groups and power structures. China, as a global leader, is moving in the opposite direction, according to our view. If you want to have true partners and apply the principle of mutual recognition, you must first apply ethical principles. That is why China incorporates ethical principles into all areas of human and social life. Therefore, one of the decisive factors for the future is also the inclusion of ethics in the field of artificial intelligence. It is necessary to unify the global approach to the management and development of artificial intelligence, because without common rules, it will not be possible to create a unified and responsible process. At the same time, President Xi Jinping clearly declared that China will do everything to ensure that artificial intelligence serves primarily the good of the people, the nation, society, and the entire world. We believe that this is the direction in which humanity should move, and therefore we welcome efforts to unify policies based on ethical principles in the field of artificial intelligence," said Roman Blaško, Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
The issue of regulating artificial intelligence has been increasingly at the forefront of interest for governments, international organizations, and technology companies in recent years. In addition to rapid technological development, there is increasing discussion about the security of artificial intelligence systems, data privacy, transparency of algorithms, and accountability for their use. According to Blaško, his statement builds on the debate about the future direction of technological progress and emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in creating rules for the use of artificial intelligence.
