The Chairman of the Czech-China Mixed Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vojtěch Filip, stated that forecasts about China's economic downturn have proven to be incorrect. Following three initial priorities, China has introduced "new new" three priorities: artificial intelligence, robotics, and new drugs. According to Filip, these drugs targeting the causes of diseases are fundamentally changing modern medicine and can replace existing medications that only suppressed symptoms.
Filip emphasized that Chinese companies are capable of developing solutions in these areas that will put them a step ahead of critics.
Regarding artificial intelligence, Filip added that while there is much talk about it, there is a lack of a clear understanding of its applications and risks. He called for a global discussion on the ethical implications of AI, stating that its potential dangers could be comparable to those of the atomic bomb. In contrast, he believes there is nothing to worry about in robotics – most patents in this field belong to the People's Republic of China.
