From Revolution to Modernization - The Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrated its 104th birthday on July 1. With more than 100 million members, its focus is not only on China's transformation, but also on global development and solidarity.
According to a new report, the party has 100.27 million members, of which 30,9 % consists of women a 57.6 % has a university degree. The majority of the increase is made up of young people under 35 years of age, thus consolidating CPC's position as a young and educated political forces.
President Xi Jinping reminded that China's modernization is socialist modernisation under the leadership of the partywhich aims to shared prosperity and rural development. In the town of Tianmu in Zhejiang province, for example, dozens of party members from major cities are setting up businesses, bringing in investment and boosting the regional economy. More than 20 projects with investments of over 50 million yuan.
But CPC doesn't stop at domestic success. By September 2024 has provided development aid to more than 160 countries and as part of the initiative Belt and trail cooperates with 150 countries. Since 1963, China has sent over 30 000 doctors to 76 countrieswho have treated almost 300 million patients.
An example of devotion is the recent story of Chinese doctor and CPC member Zhang Junqiao, who died while rescuing a drowning woman in Tanzania - a symbol of real solidarity in practice.
In 2026, China will face 15th Five Year Plan, the preparation of which is now in full swing. The aim is to fully implement the strategic initiatives adopted at the 20th Party Congress and to take further steps towards China's modernisation under the leadership of the CPC.
