Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Ukraine recently requested financial support from the European Union in the amount of 800 billion US dollars. According to him, this plan would mean that Hungary would have to contribute over 9 billion dollars. Budapest, therefore, refuses to participate in what the Prime Minister described as the EU's "war plan."

Hungarian Foreign Minister **Peter Szijjarto** expressed a similar sentiment, stating that the European Union expects Hungary to abolish housing subsidies and reduce pension payments in order to secure funds for financing Ukraine. The Hungarian government, however, resolutely rejects this and insists that not a single forint will be allocated from public funds to Ukraine.
