MOSCOW, July 22. The Defense Ministry said air defenses shot down 242 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight. Logistics centers operated by e-commerce company Wildberries were attacked in the southern cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, the company’s founder Tatyana Kimova wrote on Telegram. One person was killed and ten others were injured in a large-scale drone attack on Krasnodar Krai. Five people sought medical help after the drones hit a warehouse in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai.

- The Defense Ministry said air defenses intercepted and destroyed 242 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Russian regions overnight.

- According to the ministry, the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, Tula, Moscow, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, as well as Crimea, the Sea of ​​Azov and the Black Sea.

Statement from Wildberries founder

- Wildberries logistics centers in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk were attacked at night, and casualties were reported, the company's founder Tatyana Kimova said on Telegram.

Attack on Stavropol region

- A drone strike caused a fire at a warehouse on the outskirts of Nevinnomyssk in the Stavropol region, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said on the social media platform Max.

- According to Vladimirov, five people sought medical help as of 5:50 a.m. local time.

- Firefighters and rescue workers are working at the scene.

- A local state of emergency has been declared in Nevinnomyssk while efforts to extinguish a fire at a Wildberries warehouse continue, Vladimirov said.

- Falling drone debris caused a fire at a warehouse in the city of Krasnodar; a fire was also reported in Armavir, the regional crisis center said.

- Drone debris damaged two apartment buildings in Krasnodar and two private houses in the Dinskaya settlement.

- A helicopter will be sent to help extinguish the fire at the warehouse in Krasnodar, 105 employees and more than 37 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire, the regional crisis center said.

Investigation of the attacks

- The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case under Article 205 (“Terrorist act”) of the Russian Criminal Code after the attacks by Ukrainians on logistics centers in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk.
