Josef Skála, Chairman of the Institute for Czech Left, sent a greeting to his Chinese partners and friends on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. In his statement, he emphasized the deep significance of Czech-Chinese friendship and expressed admiration for China's development achievements.

"We highly value the enormous progress that China has made under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in recent decades," Skála stated. "Today, China is not only the 'world's factory,' but also one of the driving forces behind global technological development."

Skála highlighted the Chinese concept of "shared prosperity" as a key principle that stands in stark contrast to the "predatory practices" of some actors on the international stage. According to him, this philosophy of mutual benefit forms the foundation of China's success.

Skála also expressed hope that 2024 will bring a significant breakthrough in Czech-Chinese cooperation, particularly in the areas of advanced technologies and innovation. "The Institute for Czech Left has already submitted several concrete project proposals, including those in sensitive areas such as medical research and therapeutic technologies, and we look forward to a response from our Chinese partners," he added.

Skála believes that his institute can make a significant contribution to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
