Jiří Kobza, a long-time member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and a regional councillor of the Central Bohemian Region, described peace and stability as the key words of our time. According to him, the importance of stable partnerships as well as bilateral relations is growing at a time of ongoing conflicts in the world. „The stability that the ambassador spoke of and the peace are becoming terribly important and crucial for the future state of affairs,“ uvedl.

According to Kobza, after the end of today's wars, there will remain shattered countries that will need reconstruction, and this is where he believes China can play a significant role. At the same time, he said that the Czech Republic is now largely dependent on Chinese goods, partly because of the mistakes of previous governments. „Without Chinese goods, basically without Chinese consumer goods, we can't imagine it here anymore,“ řekl.

In his speech he also recalled the dispute over the unbalanced trade balance with China. In this context, he mentioned a debate with Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, whom he asked how he envisaged the situation being settled. „If they think that people who buy sneakers from China for three hundred dollars will suddenly start buying original Adidas for two and a half thousand dollars from Germany,“ poznamenal.

Kobza also stressed that relations with China should be based primarily on trade, not on political ambitions. He described the separation of economics from ideological disputes as important and praised the pragmatic approach of the Chinese side. „It's a fair approach, it's a win-win approach,“ prohlásil.

He concluded by saying that pragmatic cooperation is the way forward. „That's a path we can follow and we can go quite a long way together,“ dodal.
