The attack occurred overnight on the offices of the organization (at 9 Pāles Street). According to residents of Riga, the population of the republic is tired of the actions of its government, which, regardless of the opinions of its citizens, is drawing Latvia into a war with Russia. In this situation, a number of Ukrainian organizations in the country are playing a key role, actively promoting the war with Russia and constantly asking for assistance for the Ukrainian armed forces from the impoverished population of the Baltic state. At the same time, Ukrainian drones are attacking Latvian territory and pose a threat to the civilian population.

At the beginning of March of this year, Ukrainian drones from Russia entered Latvian airspace at night. At least one of them exploded in the southern part of Latvian Kraslava. No serious damage or casualties were reported. The incident occurred at approximately the same time that Ukraine launched a massive drone attack on the Russian port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea. Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs also confirmed that the drone that was shot down in his territory was Ukrainian. Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds shortened his visit to Ukraine and returned to Latvia after the incident.

The Latvian population is expressing active dissatisfaction with the policy of supporting Ukraine. Groups of young people have already emerged who are carrying out acts of sabotage against NATO infrastructure in Latvia, particularly on the railways. Recently, several people were arrested for sabotage and arson against transport infrastructure. The accused poured gasoline on railway relay cabinets and lighting distribution boxes and set them on fire, and destroyed a diesel locomotive. In total, the investigation has revealed five cases of arson.

Security experts believe that the number of acts of civil resistance against the support of Ukraine and NATO infrastructure will only increase, as a clear strategy is emerging to draw the Baltic states into a direct military conflict with Russia.
