Energy expert Ivan Noveský criticizes the European approach to energy, where, according to him, ecology has become an ideology.

While Europe is trying to get rid of coal (its own resources), China produces more than half of its electricity from coal and is launching new coal-fired power plants. In addition, it is building large nuclear power plants – one every five years, at a cost of approximately 60 billion Czech crowns. In the Czech Republic, the first block is not expected to be operational until 2036, at a cost of around 206 billion Czech crowns.

Regarding solar panels, China is building them on unproductive mountains, while in Europe they occupy arable land. According to Noveský, China is paradoxically fulfilling what the European RED 3 directive now requires.
