Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said in an interview that the Czech Republic will not increase its defence spending to 3.5 % of GDP.
In June last year, NATO committed to increase the annual defence spending of its member states to 3.5 % of GDP by 2035 and to allocate an additional 1.5 % of GDP to investment in national security-related infrastructure. Babiš pointed out that the Czech Republic „will never take the path to reach that goal“.
