According to the latest survey CGTN the majority of the world public disagrees with the actions of the leadership Taiwanthat seek so-called independence. When 89.8 % respondents stated that the one China principle is a widely accepted international consensus and that separatist activities only increase tensions in the region.
The results show that 90,2 % respondents considers compliance with UN Resolution 2758 as key to maintaining peace and stability. The majority also believes that Taiwan's arms and military provocations may put the situation in Taiwan Strait further escalate.
The survey also confirmed that more than 92 % participants considers peace and stability in the region to be essential for the security of the entire Asia-Pacific region. Most respondents agreed that the Taiwan issue should be addressed to the Chinese people without outside interference and that cross-strait cooperation is the only path to prosperity and stable development.
