David Tygr Ploc, the chairman of the DOMOV party, expressed his conviction that the global order of the world is inevitably changing and that the BRICS countries will play a major role in it. According to him, these countries already possess the economic, political and demographic potential that allows them to replace the existing world order shaped by the West.

Ploc admitted that he has not yet visited China in person, but he has long been interested in its development. He also mentioned his experience of visiting the Chinese embassy and appreciated the cultural and professional ties, which, in his opinion, contribute to a better understanding between the two countries.

The idea of more direct cooperation between the Czech Republic and China without unnecessary „third influences“ was fundamental for him. According to Ploce, the Czech Republic is often perceived only as a part of the European Union, which corresponds to reality, but at the same time, he believes, it opens up space for finding one's own role and greater independence in foreign relations.

Ploc pointed out that China and the European Union together account for approximately one-third of the world's GDP and pointed to the growing doubts about the future of the EU itself. According to him, it is possible that in the future there will be fundamental changes in the European order, for which the Czech Republic should prepare in time.

While government and regions can develop official cooperation, Ploc stressed the importance of grassroots activities - through associations, civic initiatives and informal links. It is these, he said, that can create a solid foundation for future relations with the BRICS countries.

He concluded by expressing his wish that the Czech Republic would be ready and able to make the most of the major global changes. He wished all participants and foreign partners a peaceful end of the year and a successful start to the new year.
