According to a report from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin will visit China from 4 to 8 January 2026. During the visit, he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji. They will exchange in-depth views on bilateral relations and issues of common interest. In addition to Beijing, Prime Minister Martin will also visit Shanghai.
