On Monday, 16 September, the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek will present the Government Prize for a gifted student for 2023 to the Minister of Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek in the presence of representatives of parliamentary and senate committees and leading representatives of academia.
The laureates of the second year of the award were students Tereza Šustrová from the Brno Gymnasium, MUDr. Vasil Kostin from the 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University and Mgr. Markéta Kocmanová, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. A total of 47 students were nominated. The high quality of the submitted proposals is an obvious proof that many young people are already engaged in scientific work during their studies.
For the first time ever, the award is given in three categories:
(a) secondary and higher vocational school student
(b) a student in a bachelor's or master's degree programme
c) a student in a doctoral programme. The award is decided by the Government on the proposal of the Council for Research, Development and Innovation.
The Government Prize is an opportunity to award annually talented students who have shown exceptional talent and interest in research or scientific work.
