The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, met today with the Chairman of the ANO movement, Andrej Babiš.
The President has invited the chair of the strongest opposition party to Prague Castle to ask him to clarify how he will meet the requirements of the Conflict of Interest Act if he is tasked with forming a government after the October parliamentary elections. The President also asked how the chairman of the movement felt about possible extradition in connection with the Čapího nests case.
The President also asked what steps Andrej Babiš is considering in the event of an electoral victory and where he will look for support for his eventual government. The President is not planning any further meetings with the chairmen of political parties before the elections.
