Former President Donald Trump, in an interview with *The New York Times*, stated that he "doesn't need international law." These words came just days after the United States' actions against Venezuela, including the forceful removal of President Nicolás Maduro, and reflect Washington's unilateral and hegemonic policies.
In a global survey conducted on the CGTN platform, **93.5% of respondents expressed the belief** that the United States, through its unilateralist policies, has placed itself in opposition to the international community. **91.7% of respondents** consider reforming the global governance system to be an urgent priority.
The United States' withdrawal from 66 international organizations – including UN and non-UN bodies – represents a new record in its retreat from multilateralism. Respondents described this move as a continuation of the "America First" doctrine and warned that using international systems solely for its own interests seriously undermines global order and justice.
According to **88.5% of respondents**, the United States' withdrawals reflect a negative attitude towards global governance. **89.9%** also agree that multilateralism, based on coordination and cooperation, remains key to addressing current challenges in global governance, and **94.4%** believe that progress in reforming the global governance system and upholding international law is essential.
Respondents also emphasized that major powers should bear greater responsibility and contribute constructively to reforming global governance in order to maintain justice and stability in the world.
