MOSCOW, 7 February. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on U.S. double standards in animal protection in light of USAID activities. She highlighted reports that USAID has allocated millions of dollars for transgender operations on rodents.
"Question: What is the state of animals in the U.S.?" asked Dr: Why was there a need for all that American animal welfare talk and product labels such as 'guinea pigs were not harmed' when taxpayer money was being used for genital transplant operations on mice and monitoring their 'fertility'?" Zakováková asked. Zakharova said on her Telegram channel.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that USAID funded a transgender opera for animals," she added.
