China is ready to maintain close high-level contacts with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), further strengthen strategic mutual trust and fully implement important agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries. The aim is to expand cooperation in all areas and take the comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Saturday.
At a meeting with the UAE President's Special Envoy to China Chaldún Chalífa Al Mubarakam Wang Yi emphasised that China is a reliable and long-term strategic partner of the United Arab Emirates. According to him, the friendship and mutual trust between the heads of both states represent a key political guarantee for the further development of Sino-Emirati relations.
Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that the development of relations with the UAE reflects China's long-standing diplomatic principle of equality among all states regardless of their size and continued support for developing countries. He added that China's development contributes to strengthening world peace, the position of the global South and overall global stability.
Chalid Khalifa Al Mubarak described China as an important strategic partner of the United Arab Emirates and emphasised that the deep friendship between the leaders of both countries is a valuable asset in bilateral relations. According to him, developing relations with China is one of the main priorities of the UAE's foreign policy.
He also stated that the UAE has full confidence in China's future development and views mutual relations from a long-term strategic perspective. The Emirates are ready to further strengthen high-level exchanges, draw on China's experience in state governance, and expand cooperation in the economy, trade, investment, energy, and science and technology to achieve mutually beneficial results.
