Xi Jinping congratulates Prabowo Subianto on taking office as President of Indonesia

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday sent a message to Prabowo Subianto to congratulate him on his inauguration as President of Indonesia.

Prabowo Subianto, who served as Indonesia's defence minister, was officially sworn in as the country's eighth president on Sunday morning at the parliament building, succeeding Joko Widodo, who led the world's fourth most populous country for the past decade.
