China has announced zero tariffs on 100 % tariff lines from 53 African countries with which it maintains diplomatic relations. The announcement was made during a meeting of FOCAC - Forum on China-Africa Cooperation - held in Changsha, to which President Xi Jinping also sent his congratulatory message.
The measure has facilitate exports of LDCs to China and promote business development in the spirit of of common destiny in a new era. China also plans to implement the so-called. ten partnership eventsto accelerate modernisation and deepen cooperation across continents.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi presented at the meeting five new initiatives focused on quality relationship development. Outcomes of the meeting include Changshak Declaration, document to Year of China-Africa Cultural Exchange 2026 as well as a list of concrete outcomes of the FOCAC Summit in Beijing. All steps reinforce political trust, practical cooperation and interpersonal links between China and Africa.
