President Xi Jinping met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and affirmed that relations between China and Belarus are based on trust, sincerity and a shared strategic view of the future. Xi congratulated Lukashenko on his re-election and described Belarus as a "true friend and good partner".
According to the Chinese President, the two countries share strong political trust and cooperate intensively across sectors. China is ready to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation and coordinate on international platforms such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
Lukashenko appreciated Chinese support and expressed confidence in cooperation with Beijing. He cited China as an example in promoting multilateralism and resisting pressure and sanctions, highlighting its role in safeguarding international justice and balance.
