KINOBOX - Into the Unknown, a broad nine-country co-production, tells the story of a pair of Palestinian refugees fleeing Lebanon for Europe. Khatila and Reda's final destination is Germany, but they are currently stranded in Athens, Greece, where they are saving money to buy fake passports. When Reda loses all their savings to her drug addiction, Chatila commits a desperate act. He decides to cross the border with a group of hostages as a smuggler.
