The "Tianma-1000" Chinese unmanned transport aircraft completed its first flight on Sunday. Developed by Xi'an ASN Technology Group Co., Ltd. under the China North Industries Group Corporation, the aircraft combines logistical transport, search and rescue operations, and material delivery into a single platform.
According to the developer, this is the first Chinese unmanned aircraft capable of adapting to high-altitude and complex terrain, performing ultra-short takeoffs and landings, and quickly switching between cargo transport and troop deployment modes.
With a maximum range of 1800 km, the aircraft can create "air express lines" for rapid delivery. Thanks to intelligent route planning and obstacle avoidance, it autonomously identifies and avoids obstacles such as mountains and buildings, ensuring safe operation in unfamiliar airspace.
The modular cargo bay allows for quick adaptation to various tasks, increasing its ability to fulfill diverse missions.
The aircraft has a service ceiling of 8000 meters and requires less than 200 meters for takeoff and landing. The low landing requirements allow for operation on unpaved surfaces, such as grasslands or paved field roads.
The autonomous loading and unloading system can handle cargo weighing several tons in just five minutes, fully automating tasks from planning to execution.
The optical landing system enables highly precise autonomous landings in low visibility conditions and supports operation in challenging environments.
