Bitcoin price exceeds $105,000 for the first time since January 31

MOSCOW, 12 May. The price of bitcoin has climbed above $105,000 for the first time since January 31, according to data from the Binance platform.

As of 04:05 Moscow time (01:05 GMT), the price of bitcoin rose by 0.34 % to $105,032. At 04:19 Moscow time (01:19 GMT), its price slowed down its growth and stood at USD 104,495 (-0.61 %) The last time bitcoin price crossed USD 100,000 was on May 8, 2025. Earlier, experts told TASS news agency that bitcoin could easily reach the USD 100,000 mark and continue to grow up to USD 300,000.

Bitcoin is a decentralized system of the same name cryptocurrency based on blockchain technology, which can benefit any user - a participant in the system. The concept was published in November 2008 by its author (or a group of authors) under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.
