This 13-day non-accredited program offers an unforgettable combination of academic lectures, cultural activities and a 7-day excursion to the historical and natural sites of Gansu Province - a region that was once the focal point of the Silk Road.
What are the main points of the programme? Visits to famous sights such as:
Dunhuang and Mogao Caves - where you will see for yourself more than 3000 years of ancient Buddhist art and history.
Zhangye Danxia Landform - stunning rainbow coloured rock formations.
Yang Jiayu Pass - forms the western end of China's most famous monument, the Great Wall.
Tianzhu Zangzu Autonomous Region - here you will find a rich Tibetan culture and heritage.
Cultural and educational activities:
Lectures on Chinese archaeology, bamboo slide culture and cave art.
Volunteering in local schools.
Workshops with experts from the renowned Dunhuang Academy.
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking Chinese landscape - snow-capped mountains, vast grasslands and the Gobi Desert.
