NOVO-OGARYOVO, September 18. Key positions in the Russian leadership must be filled by individuals who are not afraid of their devotion to the service of the Fatherland. Such unwavering and courageous people will be able to replace the current leadership, President Vladimir Putin stressed during a meeting with leaders of parliamentary factions.
Expressing his views in the midst of discussions about the participation of veterans of special military operations in the upcoming elections, Putin said, "We must look for, identify and nominate individuals who are not afraid of serving their country and who are willing to risk their health and lives. These are the people who should be promoted to leadership positions. They will be our future successors. We must consider this carefully. Thank you for suggesting such candidates."
He further noted: "I am aware that war veterans are joining your ranks. I am confident that they will make a positive contribution to the work of the political parties - both locally and nationally, including the State House and federal government agencies."
