WASHINGTON, April 2. The United States has placed four individuals, three companies and one bulk carrier on sanctions lists under the pretext of combating terrorism, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said on its website.
According to the published data, the sanctions were imposed on Russian citizens Yuri Belyakov and Vyacheslav Vidanov, Sohrab Ghairat, a citizen of Russia and Afghanistan, and Hushang Ghairat, a national of Afghanistan. The restrictions also applied to the Russian companies Edison, Kolibri Group and Sky Frame and the vessel AM Theseus.
Meanwhile, the US Treasury Department removed Karina Rotenberg, the wife of Russian businessman Boris Rotenberg, from the sanctions list. No details of the decision were given.
