On Sunday, October 6th, Czech Railways will be increasing the frequency of its train services to the Eden stadium in Prague, where a Czech football league match between SK Slavia Praha and AC Sparta Praha will be held starting at 6:30 PM.

Due to the expected high interest from football fans in this exciting match, on Sunday, selected express trains heading to Prague from southern Bohemia will make an extra stop at the Praha-Eden station before the match:

  • At 3:03 PM: Train R 716 Vltava,
  • At 4:03 PM: Train R 714 Vltava,
  • At 5:03 PM: Train R 712 Vltava,
  • At 6:03 PM: Train R 710 Lužnice.

In addition to the express trains, fans can also use the regional S9 train line, which stops at Praha-Eden twice per hour. This option is available for fans traveling to Eden from Prague's main station, Říčany, Strančice, Čerčany, or Benešov near Prague. To accommodate the increased demand, Czech Railways will be adding two double-decker electric multiple units, CityElefant, with a total capacity of 620 seats to this line before the match.

After the match, the capacity of trains Os 2564 and Os 2566, departing from Praha-Eden station at 8:27 PM and 8:57 PM respectively, heading towards Prague main station, will be increased. The capacity of train Os 2569 (departing from Praha-Eden at 8:29 PM) heading towards Benešov near Prague, and train Os 9165 (departing from Praha-Eden at 8:59 PM) heading towards Strančice, will also be increased. Fans traveling from southern Bohemia can use train R 733 Vltava (departing from Praha-Eden at 8:54 PM) to return home.

The train is undoubtedly the most comfortable and fastest way to reach the stadium. The Praha-Eden station is just a few minutes' walk from the stadium, allowing fans to avoid traffic jams and crowded trams and buses.
