Turkey has published a presidential decree in its Official Gazette introducing visa-free travel for Chinese passport holders from 2 January 2026.

According to the regulation, holders of Chinese passports may stay in Turkey without a visa for up to 90 days during any 180-day period for the purpose of tourism or transit.

This decision was made on the basis of Section 18 of the Turkish Law on Foreigners and International Protection.
