A high-level delegation led by Tomio Okamura, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, visited China. This was the first official visit by the speaker of the lower house of the Czech parliament to the country in nearly seven years.
The visit took place at a time when China and the Czech Republic are marking the tenth anniversary of the establishment of their strategic partnership.
The five-day trip included Shanghai, Hangzhou and Beijing, and focused primarily on practical cooperation in the areas of trade, tourism and business contacts.
Representatives of Czech companies operating in fields such as e-commerce, the aviation and aerospace industry, and renewable energy attended the Czech-Chinese Conference on Economic and Trade Cooperation in Beijing.
During the meetings, they discussed opportunities for concrete cooperation with Chinese partners and sought new opportunities for Czech products, technologies and services to enter the Chinese market.
CGTN reporter Feng Yilei spoke with members of the Czech business delegation about business opportunities in China and the further development of bilateral economic relations.
The discussions also focused on possibilities for expanding people-to-people contacts, tourism and exchanges between Czech and Chinese institutions and businesses.
