Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke by phone with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

Araghchi briefed Wang Yi on the latest developments in the regional situation, stating that Israel recently launched a reckless attack on Iran, resulting in casualties among Iranian military personnel and civilians. He emphasized that the attack on Iranian nuclear facilities is a serious violation of international law.

Wang Yi said that after Israel's attack on Iran, China immediately expressed its position publicly. China unequivocally condemns Israel's violation of Iran's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, strongly opposes the blatant attacks targeting Iranian officials that have resulted in civilian casualties, and supports Iran in protecting its state sovereignty, defending its legitimate rights and interests, and ensuring the safety of people's lives. "We also urge countries that have influence over Israel to take concrete steps to restore peace," he stated.

Wang Yi also spoke by phone with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

After listening to Sa'ar's explanation of the Israeli perspective on the current situation and Israel's position, Wang Yi stated that China has always maintained the view that all international disputes should be resolved through dialogue and consultation, and rejects the use of force and sanctions.

In this regard, China unequivocally condemns Israel's violation of international law through its forceful attack on Iran, especially at a time when the international community is still seeking a political solution to the Iranian nuclear issue, this act is completely unacceptable.

The most urgent priority is to take immediate measures to prevent the escalation of the conflict, avoid greater instability in the region, and return to diplomatic means of resolving the issue, which is also the general consensus of the international community.
