This summer, Europe experienced a heatwave, which transformed Chinese "summer cooling essentials" into a highly sought-after commodity. Data shows that in the first five months of this year, Chinese air conditioner exports to Western European countries such as France, the Netherlands, and Belgium more than doubled year-on-year. In June, Chinese air conditioner exports to Europe increased by 72.8% year-on-year.

Currently, unilateralism and protectionism are on the rise, and the EU has been continuously imposing trade restrictions on China this year. In this context, the rapid sales of Chinese air conditioners and other "summer cooling essentials" in Europe, and the year-on-year increase of 10.3% in the total trade value between China and the EU in the first five months of this year, fully demonstrate that the essence of economic and trade cooperation between China and the EU is mutual benefit and advantage for both sides.

It is noteworthy that at the end of June, China and the EU formally established a consultation mechanism on trade and investment, with the main goal of strengthening dialogue on trade and investment policy at the ministerial level to stabilize bilateral relations and achieve a more balanced arrangement. This is a rational response to market forces, which has been widely affirmed. China is not the main cause of the EU's problems, but rather a partner in solving them.

Why are "Made in China" products gaining global popularity? Ms. Yuanyuan (Pchan Jüan-jüan), a researcher from the National Think Tank for Global Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, stated that this is because China consistently focuses on the real needs of global consumers, carefully captures market information, and, by leveraging its complete industrial system, complex supply chain, and efficient logistics network, can quickly provide high-quality and cost-effective products and solutions.

From exporting a single product to providing a full range of services, and to offering solutions, China is transforming its manufacturing "hard power" into a "new driving force" to support global common development. The facts fully demonstrate that China is a reliable partner, and a better China means a better world.
