President Xi Jinping has landed in the Kazakh capital, Astana, where he will participate in the second China-Central Asia summit. His arrival was accompanied by Kazakh Air Force fighter jets, which escorted the presidential aircraft within Kazakh airspace.

At the Nursultan Nazarbayev airport, the Chinese president was greeted by his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, along with high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu. Xi Jinping received flowers from a young Kazakh woman, while a ceremonial guard of honor and children holding flags of both countries expressed a warm welcome.

The two presidents observed a ceremonial guard of honor and a flyover of helicopters carrying the flags of China and Kazakhstan. The atmosphere was further enhanced by a performance by Kazakh children.

On the way to the hotel, citizens greeted Xi Jinping with red banners bearing messages such as "A warm welcome, President Xi Jinping!" and "Long live the friendship between China and Kazakhstan!"
