Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a solemn greeting of best wishes to all workers in the country on the occasion of International Labour Day, which falls on May 1. Xi Jinping, who is also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, sent the message on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.

This year is significant as China marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and it is also the first year of implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the period 2026 to 2030.

Xi Jinping called on workers across the country to work hard, achieve concrete results and play a leading role in promoting high-quality economic and social development.

He also stressed that Party committees and governments at all levels should protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers, address their most pressing problems and support them in their tireless efforts to achieve the country's great goals.
