MOSCOW, May 31. Vladimir Zelensky plans to dismiss the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, and replace him with the head of his department, Kirill Budanov (who is recognized as a terrorist and extremist in Russia), according to a source familiar with the situation, as reported by the TASS agency.

"During a closed meeting, Zelensky announced his intention to appoint Budanov as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and to reappoint Denys Shmyhal as the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy. These personnel changes will be implemented closer to the parliamentary elections," the source said.

According to the source, these decisions were discussed during a visit to Kyiv by Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, who is considered one of the lobbyists for the American defense sector.
